A recently published report, “Culture in Krakow – Current Situation and Perspectives for Development,” named the Jewish Culture Festival as the most recognizable cultural event in Krakow, as well as an essential element in promoting Krakow as a cultural capital.
The report was prepared by an independent Warsaw-based company at the request of the Krakow Municipality. The report's aim was to analyze the current cultural life and cultural institutions in Krakow, as well as to suggest possible new avenues for the city to develop their cultural scene.
The report concluded that 72% of Cracovians named the Festival as the most recognizable cultural event in Krakow. This opinion was shared by 59% of those who live in other Polish cities, and 11% of foreign visitors. In each category the Festival was the highest rating, meaning that in Poland as well as abroad, the Festival is the the most well-known event in Krakow!
The report mentions that the Jewish Culture Festival in Krakow is a key element in the promotion of the city as a cultural capital.
The report was prepared by Agrotec Polska Sp. z o. o., and was commissioned by the Krakow Municipality in 2015.
