On October 20, 2020 the Jewish Community Center of San Francisco held an international celebration to honor and thank Tad Taube, the Taube Family and Taube Philanthropies on the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Taube Center for Jewish Peoplehood at the JCCSF. The program began with a video ("The Builder") featuring the Taube Family's philanthropic accomplishments in the Bay Area, Poland and beyond. The film was followed by special tributes from the JCCSF CEO Marci Glazer and The Honorable Abraham Sofaer. In addition, The Honorable Aleksander Kwasniewski, former President of Poland (1995-2005), delivered a tribute from Warsaw, Poland. The celebratory program featured a "Conversation on Peoplehood" between esteemed scholars Dr. Arnold Eisen Chancellor Emeritus of the Jewish Theological Seminary (New York), and Dr. Deena Aranoff, Director of the Center for Jewish Studies at the Graduate Theological Union (Berkeley), and moderated by JCCSF CEO Marci Glazer. Participants were also treated to a performance by acclaimed Polish musician Ola Bilinska and her ensemble Libelid, who performed Leonard Cohen's ballad "Hallelujah," in Yiddish, translated by Daniel Kahn.
