To strengthen San Francisco-Warsaw relations on behalf of the Museum of the History of Polish Jews, MHPJ Distinguished Benefactors Tad Taube and Dianne Taube, together with former U.S. Secretary of State George Shultz, San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee, and Honorary Consul Christopher Kerosky, hosted a special reception in honor of the Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra performance at San Francisco Symphony Hall on November 12, 2012.
In his welcome remarks, Polish Honorary Consul Tad Taube described the exciting cultural developments in Poland, particularly the 2013 opening of the Museum of the History of Polish Jews. Tad and his wife, Dianne, invited all in attendance to join the Taube and Koret Foundations at the Ceremonial Preview of the Museum on April 18-19, 2013.
Museum donors Sam and Tzipi Tramiel, Genia Brin, and Eric Benhamou were among those present at the reception. Representing the Koret Foundation were board member Richard Greene and COO Tina Frank, and from Taube Philanthropies, CEO Shana Penn. Afterward, the guests enjoyed an uplifting performance of Beethoven’s Emperor Concerto and Dvorák’s vivid Eighth Symphony.
