“Jews in the diaspora and Israel have a tendency to speak of the Polish Jewish community only in terms of memory, but Poland’s living Jewish culture reflects resiliency, depth and beauty,” said Tad Taube, chairman of Taube Philanthropies. “We created Taube Jewish Heritage Tours because we wanted to connect Jews around the world to our enduring heritage and today's miraculous resurgence in democratic Poland.”
Joseph Berger, reporting for The New York Times, wrote of his family journey, “We discovered a new Poland. We met [...] trailblazers who enlightened us.”
Another family said of their “amazing journey” into their ancestral roots, “What a ride! You provided a once in a lifetime opportunity for us to get a glimpse into our past. Our mother would often look at us and say, ‘Who do you think you are?’ Well, now we know.”
Taube Jewish Heritage Tours is an official tour provider for the award-winning POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews in Warsaw, as well as the Jewish Culture Festival in Krakow, which will be celebrated this year from June 24 through July 2 and is the largest festival of its kind in the world.
