Jewish Culture Festival In Kraków
The Jewish Culture Festival in Kraków is the largest Jewish festival in the world. Each year, the Festival offers over 200 events, including musical performances, lectures, workshops, and guided tours, presented by hundreds of artists from France, Germany, Israel, Poland, and the United States. More than 25,000 people attend the Festival from the EU, Israel, Poland, the United States, and many other countries. The Taube Foundation for Jewish Life & Culture is the Festival’s largest American supporter. The Festival is continually growing, as is evidenced by the special grant it received from the Swiss Contribution Fund for new EU countries for its Volunteer Program. In honor of the 25th anniversary of democracy in Polandin 2014, Gazeta Wyborcza, the largest Polish daily, organized a poll for its readers to choose an event especially significant for Kraków and nominated the Festival as one of 25 events. The Festival takes place during the last week of June/first week of July. The 24th edition of the Festival will take place from June 27-July 6, 2014.
