Taube Philanthropies has committed $8.6 million with 1:1 matching support toward the capital campaign to renovate the historic Golden Gate Park Tennis Center (GGPTC). In recognition of this grant, the largest that the GGPTC has received, the San Francisco Parks Alliance will name the Tennis Center’s clubhouse the Taube Family Clubhouse, and one of the Tennis Center’s courts will be named the Taube Family Championship Court. Additionally, Taube Philanthropies made a 1:1 matching gift of $300,000 to facilitate the establishment of a series of tennis tournaments, four per year, in a partnership with the Tennis Coalition San Francisco, the San Francisco Parks Alliance, and former tennis professional Erik van Dillen (two Davis Cups, Wimbledon, and French Open experience).
